July 29, is a long time ago since I posted last. To be honest it seems like years. I honestly don't believe it's almost christmas..and I am still numb to the fact that thanksgiving just passed.
After two years of a tough and faithfull fight with cancer. My mother went to join her grandson in heaven. She passed away on October 26. To Gods glory she knew her body was giving out and decided to let God do with her what he willed. After a month in the ICU at Fresno Community Hospital she decided that she wanted to be home when God called her to her true home. So she was discharged to home care and spent her last for days her at the house.
In true "Only God Can" fashion...on the day of my moms memorial service....my sister in law went in to emergency surgery and popped out my beautiful niece Eden Leilani Torres. Being only 28 weeks...and weighing only 1lb and 10 oz did not keep Eden from shocking the doctors by crying quite loudly as she came out. As the family the family switches from spending time in one ICU to the NeoNatale ICU, we are truly blessed by the testimony of God given life that Eden is.
Oh yeah did I mention my sister got married as well?? Well yeah she did.
It's like Abe Lincoln said. "It's not the years in your life that counts. It's the life in your years!"
As for me I will try not to waite years to post again :)
